Cannon Beach is just a quick 4-hour drive from Seattle and 1.5 hour drive from Portland. Its a beautiful coastal town and has some amazing waterfront properties to stay. We spent a weekend in Hallmark Resort Cannon Beach in December 2020. It was an amazing escape from the quarantine jail we were in for rest of the year. And this has been the only trip that we could manage to go to after Corona.
Cannon Beach is a place I’ve always seen in travel magazines, on Pacific Northwest ads, on Instagram, and in gorgeous photos online. The Oregon Coast certainly has a reputation of being one of the most beautiful places in the world, and I’m here to tell you why you NEED to make it a top priority on your Pacific Northwest destinations list!
Hallmark Resort and Spa
There are multiple airbnbs, properties and hotels around this place but we picked this one because of its proximity to Haystack Rock, amazing views from Balcony and recently remodeled rooms. And it was clearly a very good choice because we really liked this resort.
Things to do
There are multiple hikes, restaurants, coffee shops around this area. We spent the first day enjoying the view from our hotel balcony and went to the beach. This beach has simply amazing views.
We also drove to portland one day to see Multonomah Falls and also went to Bollywood Theatre to eat yummy Indian food. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Due to Covid, Indoor Dining was not allowed but they had outdoor dining so we took advantage of that and ate vada pao, bhature and chai from this place.
Relaxing Accomodation
Heading back to the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised with FREE freshly baked cookies in the lobby! Yes, every afternoon from 4-6pm, the Hallmark staff have warm cookies waiting for you in the lobby. After a long day on the beach exploring the area, we loved coming back and cozying up in our room.
